Reiki, meditation, and plant energy have been a daily practice amongst our herd for as long as I can remember. Reiki is a gentle form of energy healing that allows the practitioner to transfer universal life energy to the recipient. Universal life energy is found everywhere; it is the substance that allows life to occur. Reiki is a meditative, energetic practice that creates a calming, peaceful environment. This environment will enable horses to experience emotional and physical relief and feel, grounded, safe, and connected to healing energy. Equine Reiki brings a deep sense of peace and calm.
Reiki (RAY-key) is a Japanese stress reduction technique. “Rei” means spirit, Source, or higher wisdom, and “ki” is life force energy.
Reiki is a versatile practice that can benefit both horse and rider, regardless of discipline. Most horses respond positively to Reiki.

Mission Statement
What is an Equine Doula?
For me, being an Equine Doula means walking alongside horses—and their humans—through life’s most tender transitions. Just as I once did as a childbirth educator and doula for families, my role now is to offer comfort, presence, and gentle guidance to equines in times of change.
This may be supporting a human and horse with Reiki. Holding space for an elder horse as they near the end of life’s journey. It may be simply offering a calm, grounding presence during stressful moments, or helping caretakers find peace and reassurance in the process.
An equine doula does not replace veterinary care. Instead, it is a heart-centered, non-medical role that brings compassion, dignity, and spiritual support—honoring both horse and human through beginnings, endings, and everything in between.
At Heart Soul Equine Reiki, I believe that “The Spirit is the Heart of the Soul.” As an equine doula, my calling is to nurture that spirit, bringing light, love, and understanding to the sacred bond we share with our horses.
